Mishka Jaeger is a freelance illustrator, graphic designer, and visual artist living in Reston, VA. She received her BFA from Syracuse University in 1993, and did postgraduate work in children’s book illustration through UCLA Extension. She joined the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators in 1997.
Most of Mishka’s illustration, animation, and design work is in digital new media, particularly the children’s market. She designed Web content for Fox Kids, eToys, Matel Media, The Starlight Foundation (now Starbright), and k12.com.
She illustrated her first children’s book, Mr. Moon, which will be published by “10 To 2 Children’s Books” this autumn.
In addition to her fondness for history, Mishka likes to bake, ski, sing, practice yoga, and play the fiddle.
You can preview Mishka’s work at artomatic Floor 11, Space 0262. Though the work there has nothing to do with illustration. She’s a jack-of-many-palettes.
